Появилась новая тестовая сборка следующей версии утилиты под названием Mp3tag. Это мощное и в то же время простое средство для редактирования метаданных в музыкальных файлах. Под последним понимаются рядовые теги (ID3, Vorbis, APE) практически любых форматов. Позволяет переименовывать треки в соответствии с имеющимися в них сведениями, заменять символы или слова из тегов и имен, импортировать и экспортировать, создавать списки воспроизведения и многое другое.

Имеется поддержка online-сервисов для получения данных, которые позволят автоматически заполнить все поля, например, при копировании Audio CD. Присутствует локализированный интерфейс, среди которых имеется и русский язык.
