Crypt4Free позволяет зашифровывать любой файл на любом носителе, используя один из двух имеющихся в программе алгоритмов: Blowfish (448 битный ключ) и DESX (128 битный ключ). Для того чтобы защитить файл, надо установить пароль, который можно автоматически сгенерировать или набрать самому на виртуальной клавиатуре (защита от кейлоггеров) и нажать кнопку "Start".

Программа поддерживает работу с ZIP-файлами и при кодировании файла дополнительно подвергает его сжатию. Кроме того, здесь присутствует инструмент для шифрования любого введенного текста. Таким образом, пользователь может защищать передаваемые сообщения электронной почты или ICQ. Поддерживаются скины.
